TEXAS REMAINS NO. 1 FOR JOB CREATION

The Lone Star State maintains its No. 1 rank for job creation by foreign and domestic investment projects, according to IBM's 2018 Global Location Trends report.

IBM recently released its annual Global Location Trends report and Texas has successfully defended its No. 1 rank for job creation from foreign and domestic investments projects.

For the second year in a row, Texas topped the list of U.S. states with approximately 35,700 jobs added as a result of foreign and domestic investment announced in 2017, followed by Arizona with 22,100 jobs and Ohio with 21,400 jobs.

South Korea, United Kingdom, Japan, India and France represented the top five countries for investment in the Lone Star State last year. ICT, Business Services, Wholesale & Retail, Tourism and Chemicals were the state's top five sectors for investment.
