New Braunfels Jobless Rate Keeps Dropping

With the city’s sales tax take starting to feel slightly spongy in summer’s second half, the latest employment figures still show New Braunfels trending above the rest of the region.
Workforce Solutions Alamo Friday released a report that indicates the city of New Braunfels’ unemployment rate decreased to 3.3. percent in August — down a tenth of a point from July’s figure of 3.4 percent. The figure compares favorably with San Antonio’s 3.9 percent rate and even Cibolo’s 3.2 percent rate. For local cities, Schertz unemployment is running 3.9 percent while in Seguin, the figure is 4.2 percent. READ MORE...
