Sisters celebrate opening of coffee shop

After waiting a year to open up their dream coffee shop on the corner of Walnut and Austin Streets, sisters Kristen Green and Lacey Dugi can finally celebrate with a cup of their signature java.
Seguin Coffee Company, 410 N. Austin, officially opened its drive-thru and a walk-up window for service on Saturday, Dec. 16.
“It feels really great to finally be open,” Green said. “We both have kids and so we finally felt like we were in a place in our lives to finally do something like this.”
Originally from Stockdale, the sister duo decided to embark on the coffee journey together after moving to Seguin more than a year ago because of their shared love of the drink.
While waiting for the shop’s construction to finish, the girls set up a pop-up shop temporarily at The Warehouse, 108 S. Austin St., in August.
“I felt like it really did help opening up there for a little bit,” Dugi said. “It helped prepare ourselves for all this and it was a good experience.”
Green and Dugi both agreed that opening day went better than expected.
