Seguin sees economic, job growth

Judging by the numbers, Seguin is booming. After reaching a population of more than 30,000 last year, the city is also seeing a boom in job growth.
According to information from the city, Seguin ended 2016 with an unemployment rate of 3.4 percent — 1.3 percent below the national average.
“We’ve been very privileged and blessed to have a group of really excellent group of people on city council the last several years with an attitude toward being business friendly,” Mayor Don Keil said. “We also have really good people in our economic development department. They’ve been working very hard to make sure good companies come to Seguin.”
The mayor said Seguin has garnered much attention in the business world over the past several years. READ MORE...
