Cibolo leaders break ground on YMCA center

Cibolo residents are finally going to have a space for recreational activities and community events to call their own next year.
The city of Cibolo and YMCA of Greater San Antonio officials recently broke ground on the new Cibolo/YMCA Community Center, located on FM 78, just to the east of City Hall with the official turn of the dirt.
The start of the new center comes months after the city and YMCA opened up the Cibolo Youth Sports Complex on the corner of South Main Street and Schaefer Road last fall.
The 25,300-square-foot center is expected to include meeting spaces, a fitness center, a child daycare, two basketball courts, a caterer’s kitchen, showers, locker rooms, a space for an electronic library, child’s splash pad and a parking lot to fit more than 160 cars. READ MORE...
