Taprite-Fassco Mfg, Inc., a division of Aalberts Industries, a global supplier for the beverage dispense market, is choosing to manufacture their products in Marion, Texas. Though the company is located in the United States, Germany and Italy, Marion has proven to be the right place for the company to fabricate components for assembling beer and soda dispensing equipment and other related accessories.  In fact, when Aalberts Industries decided to merge Schroeder America’s and Taprite-Fassco’s production facilities, they chose to invest in the Marion location and expand their production capabilities there.

Why Marion?

The local community has been highly supportive of Taprite-Fassco, with additional support being given by GVEC. When the Marion facility had to be expanded to support the production needs of Schroeder America, additional services were needed from GVEC. “GVEC worked with us to determine our additional electrical requirements and meet our consolidation deadline” said Aimee Phillips, Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Assistant Plant Manager.

Another benefit of being located in Marion is the easy access to a large hardware store, Helping Hand Hardware, and restaurants (GG’s Corner Café, Prima Taco House, Subway, Northern Lattes) within walking distance of the plant.

Taprite was founded in New Jersey as a supplier of beer dispensing equipment in 1940.  In 1997, Taprite merged with Standard-Keil and relocated to San Antonio and Marion, Texas under the name Taprite-Fassco and began supplying soda dispensing equipment.  Aalberts Industries acquired Taprite-Fassco and its sister company North American Dispense, a supplier of dispensing equipment to the beer industry, in 1997. In 2016, Aalberts Industries acquired soda equipment manufacturer Schroeder America and Vin Service Italy, a soda and beer equipment manufacturer. These companies are now all part of the Aalberts Dispense Technologies group.
