Cibolo is the City of Choice, making our City a great place to live, work, or play.

Cibolo is a Texas community strategically located on the Interstate 10 and Interstate 35 corridors just northeast of San Antonio. While careful maintenance of their "small town Texas" identity makes this a great place to live, several other factors make it a premier place to do business: proximity to major urban conveniences; transportation options; a decade of strong economic and infrastructure growth; and a young, highly educated workforce with the talents and skills to help companies prosper well into the 21st century.

Location Near San Antonio with Access to Major Metros

Because of the City’s direct access to both the Interstate 10 and Interstate 35 corridors, Cibolo is only minutes away from San Antonio and 26-minutes to the city’s international airport. This proximity has several distinct advantages including the ability to access big city amenities and large consumer markets, while paying less in real estate costs and enjoying the atmosphere of a hometown.

Cibolo is just over an hour from Austin with the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and their acclaimed university system. The Houston Ship Channel and the Port of Corpus Christi are also just 2 ½ hours away.

The city’s location off IH-35 and IH-10 provides easy highway access for businesses looking to serve all of Texas and the United States.

Cibolo Has a Strong Identity

Though located just outside San Antonio, Cibolo is not your average bedroom community. The city has a strong identity and business ecosystem that is attracting top talent and world class businesses. There has been dramatic growth in industry through the recruitment of light manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, and retail businesses. The downtown, recreational amenities, restaurants and cultural scene are making Cibolo a destination for young people and families.

The City is Growing with the Workforce to Support It

The City of Cibolo is looking to attract more manufacturing and industrial businesses to further develop  the Interstate 10 corridor and can incentivise Chapter 380 Agreements, Tax Rebates/Phase-Ins, Freeport Exemptions, and more. The City is also actively looking to recruit medical and retail businesses to accommodate our rapidly expanding population. Some notable recent developments include a $400 Million investment by Japanese transmission manufacturer, AW Texas, that is looking to bring 900 jobs to the City. In addition, Phase 1 of the Interstate 35 corridor’s shopping center, Cibolo Crossing, is nearing completion and includes San Antonio favorites, Santikos Entertainment Cibolo and Magnolia Pancake Haus.

The workforce in Cibolo is able to support growth in manufacturing, retail, healthcare and tech industries. The workforce is smart, young and well-educated, with great public schools and colleges and universities nearby. The City’s largest school district, SCUC-ISD, offers numerous CTE certificates and training opportunities for youth to be college, career, or military ready. Some of the programs of study are agricultural mechanics; environmental, floriculture, and plant sciences; architecture design; computer maintenance/technician; cyber security; robotics; and engineering design. Cibolo also benefits from a large number of military retirees bringing pride and discipline to their work. Being near Joint Base San Antonio Randolph, many of servicemembers decide to call Cibolo home when they retire.

The City also partners with Workforce Solutions Alamo for resources such as grants for skills-training and assistance with labor recruitment.
