TEAM TEXAS HOSTS EUROPEAN DELEGATION

Team Texas recently hosted four representatives from the European American Investment Council (EAIC) July 24-27, 2017 by making an extensive four day Road Trip through a good portion of Texas. Traveling with the EAIC Delegation was Matthias Beier, Jim Blair(Navigator Consulting), Dr. Ullrich Kaemmerer (Roadl & Partner) and Florian Stamm (Smith, Gamberll & Russell). Matthias Beier is the President & CEO of the EAIC, while the other representatives serve as advisory members.  For more information on the EAIC, go to www.eaic-fdi.com.

Team Texas is forging a partnership with the EAIC to help develop relationships in Europe with companies who have expressed interest in expanding to the U.S.

Wayne Mansfield, with the Longview EDC, has a longstanding relationship with the EAIC from his former position in Mississippi. The Longview EDC served as the honorary host of the EAIC events through Texas.

The Frisco EDC sponsored the transportation vehicle for the trip.

Team Texas hosted six Regional Meetings during this Texas Road Trip. Our host cities included Longview, Conroe, Victoria, Brownsville, Seguin and Waco. During the Regional Meetings, Team Texas members were able to meet the consultants, hear more about the EAIC, learn what European companies are looking for in US expansion opportunities and give a short presentation about their community.

The EAIC representatives also enjoyed a short driving tour of each host community. Team Texas members that participated in the Regional Meetings were Longview EDC, Tyler EDC, Frisco EDC, Kilgore EDC, Conroe EDC, Katy EDC, Pearland EDC, Entergy, Victoria EDC, Yoakum EDC, Brownsville EDC, Greater Brownsville Incentive Corp., Rio South Texas, Seguin EDC, New Braunfels ED, Buda EDC, Pflugerville EDC, Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative, Irving Los Colinas Chamber of Commerce, Cuero EDC, Port San Antonio, Greater Waco Chamber, City of Arlington, Fairview EDC, Paris EDC, and Mexia EDC.  Janie Havel, Betty Russo, Lindsay Dennis, Letty Flores and Larry McManus represented the Governor’s Office of Economic Development & Tourism agency at the Regional Meetings.
